Product safety under the GPSR: what manufacturers and distributors must do today

The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR, Regulation (EU) 2023/988) has applied since 13 December 2024 to all consumer products, including used and refurbished ones, and for the first time regulates online trade in detail. For CE products it applies in addition: mandatory online information, accident notification, marketplace obligations and recall rules apply there too.
The whitepaper explains roles and delimitation, risk analysis including cybersecurity, technical documentation, labelling, mandatory information in online offers, complaints, accident notification through the Safety Business Gateway, recall notice and remedies, and the sanctions under the German Product Safety Act, with a 10-step plan and a practice example.
