ISO 9001 – quality management
Build quality management to the new edition ISO 9001:2026 or transition an existing system from the 2015 edition, together with your ISMS to ISO/IEC 27001 if you wish.
In preparation The ISO 9001 module is in preparation and cannot be booked yet. Before we release it, we check all contents against the text of the 2026 edition. We will only name a start date and a price once both are fixed. We are happy to show you the current state in a demo. Request a demo · Send an enquiry
What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is the internationally widespread standard for quality management systems. It describes how a company controls its processes so that products and services reliably meet customer requirements and applicable rules, and how it keeps improving. The sixth edition, ISO 9001:2026, was published in September 2026. It replaces ISO 9001:2015 including the 2024 amendment on climate change and, like ISO/IEC 27001, follows the common structure of the ISO management system standards.

Who is ISO 9001 important for?
Certification to ISO 9001 is voluntary. Many customers, groups and public clients nevertheless require the certificate from their suppliers, in mechanical engineering as well as in services.
If you are certified to ISO 9001:2015, you must transition to the 2026 edition. Your certification body agrees with you whether this happens in a surveillance audit, in the recertification or in a separate audit.
This overview does not replace legal advice. The legal or normative text is authoritative; in Complass you check applicability with guidance based on the references.

Transition from 2015 to 2026
- September 2026 ISO 9001:2026 published. It replaces ISO 9001:2015 including the 2024 amendment.
- From this day on there are no more initial certifications to ISO 9001:2015.
- End of the transition period: certificates to ISO 9001:2015 lose their validity.
The deadlines are set by Global ACI, the merger of the accreditation associations IAF and ILAC (document Global ACI-TECH-3-TR). Your certification body tells you from when it audits against the 2026 edition.

When can the module be booked?
The module is in preparation. We will only name a date once it is fixed. Get in touch if you are planning ISO 9001: we will show you the current state and how you can start today.
By when do we have to transition from ISO 9001:2015?

Can we run ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 together?
Yes, the module is designed for that. Both standards have the same basic structure; you run both management systems in one portal and mark shared evidence.
Does Complass contain the text of the standard?
No. The standard is protected by copyright. Complass explains the requirements in its own words with a reference to the clause. You obtain the text of the standard from DIN Media or ISO.
Does Complass replace certification?
No. Only an accredited certification body can certify. Complass prepares you for it and keeps your evidence ready.
