Complass
Answering the cyber insurance questionnaire from existing evidence
The broker sends the renewal questionnaire, due in a week. Nobody remembers who ticked what last year. And whether the backup really is kept separately is written down nowhere.
Before the contract is concluded, companies must disclose the risk-relevant circumstances the insurer asks about in text form (§ 19 VVG, German Insurance Contract Act). Wrong or incomplete answers in the risk questionnaire can put cover at risk, and promised measures often become contractual obligations (§ 28 VVG).
The whitepaper explains what the Insurance Contract Act regulates, why answers from memory are a risk and how to derive the questionnaire from your existing compliance evidence, confirm and seal every answer and turn gaps into measures. With a 6-step plan, a practice example and a checklist.
Each implementation chapter includes a short "Implementation in Complass" box (decision W11); only features already live are named.
